Jasmine Akauola

Jasmine Akauola is the Program Supervisor of World Languages and ESL/Bilingual Education K-12.  Mrs. Akauola joined Rahway Public Schools as an ESL teacher in 2012. She worked as a K-6 ESL teacher and a 3rd grade teacher at Grover Cleveland Elementary School before becoming a supervisor with Rahway in July of 2021.  Prior to coming to Rahway, Mrs. Akauola worked with Trenton Public Schools as a Middle School ESL teacher, 5th grade bilingual teacher, and a Preschool Teacher.  Mrs. Akauola has a Masters in Education with a concentration in English as a Second Language from The College of New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University.

Susan Dube

Dr. Susan Dube is the Program Supervisor for K-6 Math and Science, as well as K-12 Technology Education for Rahway Public Schools. She joined the Rahway Public Schools Curriculum Instruction team in August of 2019. Prior to working in Rahway, Dr. Dube worked as a middle school science and math teacher, as well as an elementary educator. Before beginning her tenure in academia, Dr. Dube spent ten years working as a freelance court stenographer. She earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership: Curriculum Instruction, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Math, Science, and Computer Education, Post-Masters' Certifications in Supervision and Teacher of Students with Disabilities, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.

Joseph Elefante

Joseph Elefante has traveled 4 continents as a pianist, saxophonist, vocalist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He has musically directed, conducted or played countless musical theater productions, including several at the Paper Mill Playhouse and Jersey Boys on Broadway and National Tour. He also founded the Joe Elefante Big Band in 2001, which was the house band at Cecil's Jazz Club for three years and featured on ABC's Nightline and in the Wall Street Journal. 

Mr. Elefante taught middle and high school choir, jazz, music theory, and theatre in Berkeley heights for 7 years before joining Rahway Public Schools. He received a BA in Music Performance from New Jersey City University, an MA in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership Policy from Texas Tech University.

James Fisher

James Fisher is the Program Supervisor for Special Education for Rahway Public Schools. Mr. Fisher joined the Rahway Public Schools in January 2002, as a Special Education teacher at Rahway High School. In addition to teaching he also served as a Class Advisor, Girls Basketball Coach, Homework Help teacher, and represented the Special Education Department on the Leadership Team at the high school. Prior to coming to Rahway Mr. Fisher worked for Monmouth Ocean Educational Services Commission.

Mr. Fisher earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He then received his teaching certification, Masters in Special Education, and completed his Supervisor Certification from New Jersey City University.

Stephanie Holobinko

Stephanie Holobinko joined the Rahway Public Schools in September 1999. Prior to joining the administrative team, she served as a middle school social studies teacher and K-8 technology facilitator in the district.  She earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Arts in History/Elementary Education from William Paterson University.

Jeffrey Kurczeski

Mr. Jeff Kurczeski began his teaching career at Rahway High School in 2014 as a Chemistry Teacher. After his time in the classroom, he transitioned into the role of Program Supervisor of Secondary Math, Science, Technology and Business in 2024. 

While at home, Mr. Kurczeski enjoys traveling, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with his family. Mr. Kurczeski holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University and a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey.

Leslie Septor

Dr. Septor joined the Rahway Public Schools Curriculum and Instruction team in January 2019. Prior to working in Rahway, Dr. Septor worked as a Supervisor of Humanities, a Middle School Language Arts teacher, and a Literacy Coach. Dr. Septor earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University. Additionally, Dr. Septor holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education.
