The Rahway Board of Education Business Office ensures that district resources are allocated in accordance with State and Federal laws and guidelines in an efficient manner that benefits all of our students and taxpayers. All operational issues under the purview of the Business Administrator are conducted with a strict adherence to the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as all applicable laws and regulations as set forth by the New Jersey Administrative Code and Statutes governing school finance, purchasing, facilities, transportation, risk insurance management and food service.
Our office takes pride in working with our administration and staff members to ensure that all public funds are properly accounted for to allow the best possible experience for our students.
Mr. Fried has worked in education since 2011 after spending the first half of his career in accounting and audit for Hedge Funds and Private Equity. Mr. Fried holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Rutgers University - New Brunswick and is a NJ licensed Certified Public Account, Public School Accountant, School Business Administrator, and Qualified Purchasing Agent. He lives in Cranford, NJ with his two little boys Maxwell and Nathaniel.
