On Wednesday, May 23, Union County put on a great celebration hosted by Kean University to honor our 2018 Teachers of the Year.
Teachers, superintendents, and Board representatives from Union County school districts were invited to a breakfast celebration at the Kean STEM Building to collectively honor each district's teachers.
In Rahway, each building selects a teacher for this honor and this year the teachers were presented with a personalized memento (carved apple paperweight).
All of the Rahway teachers except Shannon Barnes were in attendance - Shannon stayed behind to catch her students up with their Driver's Ed class (delayed due to PARCC testing).

With diversity as our strength, the Rahway School Community shall provide inclusive and challenging programs to accommodate the unique needs of all students, allowing them to experience success and reach their highest potential. Our programs will prepare all students to achieve the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS) and New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS), and to become independent and self-sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly in the global community.
