Mrs. Roslyn Smith was honored at the National Council for Negro Women (NCNW) Harambee Breakfast. Mrs. Smith was honored for the community work that she does with the Youths in Rahway through the Rahway Local Organizing Committee (a mentorship program that she heads). Not only was she honored but one of the prize winners of an Essay Competition hosted by the NCNW wrote an essay telling about the impact Mrs. Smith has had on her life as well as the youths of the Rahway Community. Kudos to Mrs. Smith as she continues to lead and inspire our youths.

    Dear Parents and Families:

Did you know? Reading just 20 minutes a day exposes your child to about 1.8 million words per year. Reading helps students develop a stronger vocabulary, and in addition, students who read for pleasure average higher grades in English, mathematics, science, and history!

Encourage your child to read books!

    Breakfast Information
The cafeteria doors are open for breakfast from 8:00 AM to 8:20 AM. It is important that students arrive at breakfast no later than 8:20 AM in order to give them enough time to get their food and finish eating since they need to be out of the cafeteria by 8:26. Please also keep in mind that students that come to breakfast must be there to eat.
