• Math National Honor Society

Who we are: The Math National Honor Society (or MNHS) is a select group of students who both enjoy and excel in Mathematics.

What we do: Members of the MNHS offer after school tutoring every Monday from 2:45pm to 3:30pm in the Academic Success Center (ASC, aka the Library). The MNHS hosts an annual fundraiser, which has been, for the past two years, the Pi-Off event. This event is run in collaboration with Mrs. Martino's Culinary students, and her students bake several pies, which are sold on Pi-Day, and judged by students. Lastly, the MNHS also participates in a jointly-run outreach event with the SNHS, called STEM Day. This typically takes place near the end of the year, and happens at a different Elementary School every year. This event has SNHS and MNHS members leading STEM activities with the Grade 5 and 6 Elementary School students.

Who runs the MNHS: There are two advisors to the MNHS: Mrs. Breen, and Mr. Marks. They can be contacted via email: lbreen@rahway.net or jmarks@rahway.net

Can I join?: You may be able to join, depending on if you meet the qualifications. Please email Mrs. Breen or Mr. Marks to see if you qualify.

Thank you for your interest in the MNHS, and we hope to see you soon!
