• Inclement Weather Information

    During the school year, it may become necessary to close school, delay the opening of school, or have an early dismissal due to inclement weather or other emergency situations. Parents and staff members will receive announcements from the SchoolMessenger automated telephone system with regard to emergency school closings resulting from stormy or inclement weather or any other emergency. Home telephone numbers are obtained from our student management system.

    It is important to keep your telephone number up to date with your child’s school otherwise you will not receive a call.

     

    The District’s established procedures are: In the event of severe inclement weather, information about school closings, delayed openings, or early dismissals can also be obtained as follows:

    DELAYED OPENING TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE:

    On delayed opening days, the a.m. transportation pickup schedule will be approximately two hours later than the normal pickup time. All other bus schedules will remain unchanged.

    SCHOOL STARTING TIMES FOR DELAYED OPENING:

    Preschool:

    Academy Preschool - 10:50 a.m.

    Elementary School Preschool - 10:35 a.m.

     

    Elementary Grades K-6 - 10:35 a.m. 

    Academy Grades 7-8  - 10:20 a.m. 

    High School Grades 9-12  - 10:00 a.m.

     

    NOTE: Student cafeterias will not be in operation in schools that are on a shortened day schedule, although the breakfast program will be in operation.
