U.S. FIRST
  • FRC's Mission Statement:

Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) was founded by innovative inventor Dean Kamen and MIT professor Woodie Flowers in 1989 to inspire students to pursue engineering and technology. A not-for-profit public charity, FIRST aims to design programs and activities that motivate students to engage in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, while building life skills, teamwork, self-confidence, and leadership.
