Mrs. Jensyn Modero
Jensyn Modero aka "Mrs. Mo" graduated from The Boston Conservatory with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and received her Theatre Education certification from Kean University. In addition, she is currently working towards her M.A. in Theatre Studies at Montclair State University. This is her seventh year at RHS. She will be teaching Introduction to Theatre, Theatre I, Theatre II, Musical Theatre, & Freshman Seminar at Rahway High School.
Mrs. Mo has been nominated for "Best Director" by the Montclair Theatre Night Awards of Montclair State University for both "The Crucible" and "Our Town." Her direction and choreography in the musical theatre realm has led to multiple Rising Star Awards final nominations through the Paper Mill Playhouse and a win for EDUCATIONAL IMPACT in 2013 for her work on "Kiss Me Kate" and OUTSTANDING CHOREOGRAPHY in 2017 for her work on "42nd Street." In addition, Jensyn directs and choreographs for Mount St. Dominic's Academy in Caldwell, NJ and has coached the Dance Team for three years. Jensyn is the proud co-founder of Just Off Broadway Productions, an educational and community theatre organization based out of Union County, NJ where she has directed and choreographed over eight productions.
In 2014, Jensyn was recognized by assembly woman Mila Jasey with a State Resolution for her leadership and direction of "The President Grover Cleveland Story," a 40 minute play about the life of former president Grover Cleveland with the students from James Caldwell High School. Currently, Jensyn choreographs for Vox Humana, a show choir for Sayreville High School, is a private vocal coach from her home and is an advocate for theatre and theatre education. She is a proud member of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education and the Speech and Theatre Association of New Jersey. Jensyn lives with her husband David (a music educator) in Roselle Park with their daughter, Mackenzie and son, Jackson who keep her blissfully happy and very busy!
