Do you think you know a Rahway’s Own Rising Star?

If so, Nominate them today at by April 30, 2021.

The student should fit at least one of the following criteria:
    -impacted their school community
    -impacted Rahway
    -has been impacted by Rahway
-has achieved a prestigious title, or award
-has excelled in an area in school or beyond school
-has created an extraordinary program or business

We know this is broad, but kids from Rahway do really amazing things. Here are examples of past Rising Stars accomplishments:
2020: Craig West III is a young model and actor who has had roles in short films and movies that starred celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. He has modeled for clothing brands such as Sean Jean and Lifestyles and has participated as a model for New York’s Fashion Week.
2020: Yamil Soto’s baseball team, the Elizabeth Elmora Troopers made it all the way to the Little League World Series in 2019.
2020: Story Young excels in everything. Winning a Montclair State Foxy award for her role in Peter and the StarCatcher, excelling in her academics and receiving a full Volleyball scholarship to a Division I school.

Rahway’s accomplishments are as diverse as its population.

Winners of Rahway’s Own Rising Stars will be featured on social media and will have their accomplishments highlighted on the Rising Star 2021 artwork that will be featured in the Cherry Pit on Cherry Street. The artwork will also become a new addition to the Rahway’s Own traveling exhibit.

We are as proud of our outstanding Rahway students as you are!
