Franklin
School’s Blue and Gold Club
The Blue and Gold Club
is a community service club that focuses on a different project each
month. Students involved in this club
volunteer their time to help collect and organize for the club’s various
projects, while consequently, strengthening their sense
of civic engagement and nationalism,
as well as meeting educational, developmental
and social
goals. This
club would not be possible without the hard work of the faculty coordinators;
Mrs. Oliver and Mrs. Nicoll.
Book
Drive
Franklin School's Blue and Gold Club held a book drive throughout
the month of February in honor of Read Across America.
The members of the club worked extremely hard collecting books from different
classrooms and sorting them into boxes.
The 2,935 books that were collected were donated to the children's
hospital at Trinitas.

Thanksgiving
Food Drive
The generous families of
Franklin School students donated 1,646 food items so that other families could
have a memorable Thanksgiving dinner.
This was the most successful food drive in Franklin School’s history. Thank you to all who donated!

The students from Franklin
School brought in and donated over 600 toys.
This doesn’t include the additional donations that were given by the
Rahway High School JROTC, as well as our own faculty and staff. This year’s toy drive was very
successful. It was the most toys that
Franklin School has ever collected.
Wow! Thank you to all who
donated!

Pictured here are some
students from Mrs. Kropoth’s Kindergarten class. They brought in the most toys and were
rewarded with a pizza party. Congratulations!
