Meet Our Principal
Mr. Johnson
Osaze and Tai John from Ms. Bechelli’s fifth grade interviewed Mr. Johnson.

Q: Where have you
worked before? A: I have taught and
been an administrator in Q: Why did you want to
be a principal? A: I love working with
children. Q: Do you ever miss
being a classroom teacher? A: Yes, I especially
miss teaching children about math. Q: Who was the biggest
influence in your life? A: My father was my
most important influence because he showed me how to conduct myself. Q: What are your
hobbies? What do you do in your
spare time? A: I play the piano
and practice karate. I also
enjoy riding my motorcycle when the weather is nice. Q: Tell us about your
family. A: I live with my wife
and two children. My
son’s name is James and my daughter’s name is Aliyah. Q: What is the most
important piece of advice you have to offer students? A: Study hard and
listen to your parents. Q: What’s the
best book you ever read? A: I really liked The
Autobiography of Malcolm X because it gave me an historical account of
the life of an African-American in the 1950s and 1960s. Q: If money were no
object, how would you spend it on our school? A: I would purchase
every student a laptop computer. Q: When you die a
very, very old man after a very successful career, what do you want written
on your tombstone? A: I tried to make a
difference in the lives of children.
