sour. I agreed with them.
Please continue to check your child’s folder
each night and return it each day.
Every week I will send home a weekly calendar
so you will know what the children will be doing the following week in
class. This will keep you informed, in case your child decides not to
share with you what they did in school that day.

Fall is upon us,
and a new school year begins. The
second grade is looking forward to an exciting new year! In language arts we will be reading new
stories and writing them too.
“Rocks, Balance & Weights” and “The Sun and Stars” are some of
the things included in our science program. In math, we will learn how to add and
subtract by two-digit numbers.

Learning about the community is our focus in
social studies.
Lots of work to do! Parental support is important to
academic success. Please see that
your children eat a good breakfast, get a good night’s sleep, do their
homework, and are ready to learn each day. Encourage your children to read daily.
